Eleftheria Florou

Lecturer

Eleftheria is a Lecturer in PR & Advertising. She has joined the University of Westminster from Birkbeck College, University of London, and University College London, where she has taught in the School of Business, Economics and Informatics, and the School of Management respectively. Eleftheria’s teaching and research centres on Marketing Communications. She has a BA in Linguistics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in Marketing Communications from Birkbeck, University of London, an MSc in Medical, Technical, Scientific Translation with Translation Technology from Imperial College London and a Diploma in Digital Marketing from City, University of London. She is a PhD candidate at Birkbeck College, University of London and her research focuses on the effect of brand transgressions on brand reputation, crisis management, recovery strategies, brand trust and consumer forgiveness. Eleftheria has presented her research in various conferences such as the annual conference of the British Academy of Management, the Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs and others.

Previously, Eleftheria has worked as a marketing & localisation manager for Apple Inc., Hogarth – WPP, Halfords Media and Intralot S.A with a focus on integrated marketing communications, internationalisation, e-commerce and digital marketing. She has delivered award-winning products and projects across multiple platforms for major brands. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
